T-Man, The Captain’s son, came down to visit for his spring break. He hasn’t been here since Christmas, so it was the first time he was able to meet his little sister. The Big One loves when her big brother comes to visit and is stuck to him like glue the whole time he’s here. It was nice to have someone here to entertain her other than me! I can’t believe he is going to be 17 in just a few more weeks! I tried to get a good pic (frame worthy) of the kids while he was here, but as usual I waited until the last minute and The Big One was less than cooperative so….
We had a visit from family (The Georgia Gang) and as always the time went far too quickly. I must say it was nice to have eight extra hands here for the week- I never once heard The Big One say “Mom, will you play with me?” and The Little One got lots of love and cuddles from her Aunt, Uncle and cousins. I think the first day The Little One was a little overwhelmed with all the new faces, and being passed from one person to the next, but it wasn’t long before she was soaking up all the attention! Of course everyone was clamoring for their chance to hold The Little One, so I was able to get lots of great photos of her with everyone.
The Big One had her share of love and cuddles, but was not as cooperative when it came to photos. It is quite possible that I have caused this behavior, what with the thousands of photos I took of her in her first two years of life. I will be sure to remind her of her constant refusals when she later asks me where the pictures of her are.
Unfortunately The Captain was not able to spend much time with his sister and her family, but someone’s got to work around here! J He was only able to join us one day for an afternoon at the beach, but was able to visit after work in the evenings. I love seeing The Captain and his sister together. It really warms my heart.
I was lucky enough to spend lots of time with everyone. I enjoyed chatting with my brother in law, crafting and shopping with my sister in law, and watching my neice and nephew hang out with my girls.
Watching the girls with their cousins made me realize how lucky I was as a child to have most of my cousins so close. I read something on facebook about cousins being your first friends, and it really is true- if you are lucky enough to have them close by. It does make me a bit sad that thier only cousins are 8 hours away.
The Georgia Gang left Easter morning, but not before checking out the goodies that were left by the Easter Bunny.
The Big One is missing them, but I think she is secretly happy to have her toys all to herself and not have to share. We said our tearful goodbyes, but I am already looking forward to the next visit!
Glad to see you back! Glad you had such a good time with family and those are such adorable photos!
