An award? For me?

On a whim, I recently joined my very first blog hop, in the hopes of connecting with fellow bloggers and increasing traffic to my blog. I have been pleasantly surprised, and today I received this:

A great big THANK YOU to my newest follower Flying by the seat of my pants for nominating Lil' Ol' Me!

And now for the rules:

1. Include the award logo in a post, or on your blog page.

2. Answer 10 questions about yourself.

3. Nominate 10-12 other fabulous bloggers.

4. Link your nominees to your post and comment on their blog letting them know about the award.

5. Share the love and link the person who nominated you.

Now, for the Q & A...

1. What would you most like to change about yourself? Ummm... where do I start? LOL First and foremost it would have to be my procrastination. Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow, right? I am the worst procrastinator. Thankfully, I work well under pressure! And secondly it would be my weight. I have not lost much of my baby weight from the Little One and absolutely hate the reflection staring back at me when I look in the mirror. UGH!

2. What is your theme song? "It won't be like this for long" by Darius Rucker or "Live like you were dying" by Tim McGraw.

3. One part of your life, a memory, action, etc., that you wish you could surgically remove from your brain. There are a few, but one I will share is the day my Firstborn went to live with her father. The actual moment of her walking away from my home is a blur, but what I would love to erase is the memory of the days after. The days that I spent in my bed sobbing, unable to face the world. Those days my heartache actually caused me physical pain. I was completely broken. The heartbreak of that loss forever changed me.

4. What generation do you wish you had been a part of? Either the 50's- I love the music, the idea of sock hops, drive-ins, poodle skirts and saddle shoes. Grease was my favorite movie growing up and I can still recite the entire thing! I also can do a mean hand jive!

I also love the early 1900's. I loved me some Little House on the Prairie and wanted to be Laura Ingalls. I love that though living was difficult, it was a much simpler time, where family was everything and material things were of little importance.

5. What was your favorite childhood toy? Hmm, there are a few that stick out in my mind. I had a very large teddy bear that I appropriately named "Big Bear". He was one of my first toys and always had a prime spot on my bed amongst the other various dolls and animals. I wonder whatever happened to him?

The other is a baby doll I had named Jessica. She fit into regular baby clothes, and then her head it melted a bit when I left her too close to the radiator. She also had some sort of food stuck inside her mouth that I never could get out. Even with her sunken head, burn mark, and dirty mouth, she remained one of my favorites.

And last but not least- my Little House on the Prairie books. I'm not sure if they count as a toy, but I read the entire series probably 8 or 10 times.

6. What is your favorite housecleaning chore? I actually don't mind washing windows, so I guess windows or vacuuming. It certainly isn't laundry or the dishes!

7. Do you twitter? I don't think you can call what I do "twitter-ing". Do I have a twitter account? Yes Do I tweet? Only my blog posts. Do I know what I'm doing? Not so much.

8. Any goals? Graduate from nursing school with my RN before I'm 40. It's a pretty lofty goal considering I haven't even started and I've got 5 years left.

9. Do you drink margaritas all the time? I rarely drink, but funny enough while I was pregnant with the Little One I craved them and couldn't wait for her arrival so I could indulge. Once she was born- the craving was gone. I never did have one, now that I think about it.

10. What is the ugliest car you've ever driven and were you embarrassed to be seen in it? I drove a 1980-something Toyota Cressida in 2006. It was just as ugly on the inside as it was on the outside. There was no radio. The doors didn't lock. The seat belts didn't work. The A/C blew heat. (I live in FL) The hood didn't latch properly, so I was always afraid that it was going to fly open while I was driving. Oh yeah, and the gas gauge didn't work. I figured I got 12 miles to the gallon. So every 120 miles I drove I filled up with gas. Just. In. Case. And yes I was embarrassed to be seen in it. I would arrive to meetings late intentionally. I would either leave first or last. I would park as far away from a building as possible so as not to be seen exiting the beastly contraption.

And the nominees are....
