It's All Fun and Games - Until...

Several times a day, every day, I am getting after the Big One for climbing on things. I am forever encouraging her to ask for help rather than climb to get things that are out of her reach.

Last night, after dinner the Captain was mowing the lawn and the girls and I were playing in the living room. The Big One kept going to the window to watch her dad trying to get his attention. When he moved to the back yard, she could no longer see him from the living room window. She went into her room to "get her baby doll" and within minutes I heard a loud crash and a blood curdling scream.

I ran into her room, where she was hysterical and holding her back. She told me she was just standing on her bed trying to look out he window to see her daddy and fell off her bed. Once I got her back into the living room, I lifted her shirt and this is what I saw:

OUCH!!

She wouldn't let me take a picture of her boo-boo while she was a awake, so this is of her back after she had fallen asleep, and is taken side ways. I don't think we'll be doing much climbing around here for a while!

  1. Yeah, The Boy finally figured out that he can climb on chairs and stools to get to things on his own. He also LOVES to turn lights, radios, tvs, EVERYTHING on and off, so he climbs up onto things to do that now, too. The kid gives me a heart attack multiple times a day! I hope your Big One's back doesn't hurt too much. :)

    1. I remember when the Big One realized that she could climb, and the heart failure that went along with it. Wish I could say it gets better, but as you can see from this post it doesn't! LOL. The back is good- no complaints of pain at all today!
